GALLING OF UNLUBRICATED CLOSE-FITTING METAL PARTS R.G. Wensel ABSTRACT Galling susceptibility tests employing threaded and disc-shaped specimens of 42 different combinations of corrosion-resistant alloys are described. Data to assist designers in selecting combinations of corrosion-resistant materials on the basis of galling susceptibility are presented.
